The Mulungushi Village Complex Limited (MVCL) has awarded various employees with cash gifts in commemoration of the 2016 Labour Day awards. Those awarded include Mr. Alfonso Chulu, Mr. Jack Muleya, Mrs Bertha Nyanga Mulenga, Mrs Wanda Malipilo Mbewe and Ms. Nelly Fyumba. The MVCL awarded employees in the categories of hard work and dedication to duty, innovation and enthusiastic to work, exemplary achievement and the most improved employee categories. Speaking at the MVCL award presentation ceremony, Mr. Bwalya Chilolo the Company Chief Executive Officer congratulated employees who had received gifts and for their superior performance and dedication to duty. Mr. Chilolo encouraged all employees to work hard to enable the company achieve its strategic, operational and financial goals. At the same ceremony Mr. Chilolo thanked Government for addressing some of the challenging labour issues that dampened worker morale such as casualization, tax on gratuity payments and short term contracts, unjustified termination of employment contracts including the overall amendment into law of the Employment Act No. 15 of 2015 Cap 268 of the Laws of Zambia.
