The Mulungushi Village Complex Limited (MVCL) has increased basic salaries for all employees across the Board by 12 percent and with effect from 1st January 2016. The MVCL Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Bwalya Chilolo indicated that basic salaries, housing allowances and education allowances as well as retention allowances have been improved by 12 percent upwards. The improvements follows negotiations between Management and the Hotel, Catering, Tourism and Allied Workers Union of Zambia (HCAWUZ) and the Zambia Unified Union of Tourism and Hospitality (ZUUTH) as well as the Board of the MVCL. The increase is in line with the general provisions of the Terms and Conditions of Service for all MVCL staff. The increment is meant to ease some of the economic challenges that employees were facing following the depreciation of the Kwacha and the general increase in macro-economic fundamentals such as inflation and interest rates
