The Mulungushi Village Complex Limited (MVCL) Chief Executive Officer has employed corporates to be socially responsible to address society challenges. Speaking at a ceremony when the MVCL donated mattress covers, blood pressure measuring equipment’s, thermometers, buckets, waste bins and cleaning materials at Ngombe Clinic Labour ward in Lusaka Mr. Bwalya Chilolo encouraged companies to invest in corporate social responsibility programs that are focussed at uplifting the vulnerable and the most disadvantaged people in our society. Mr. Chilolo called on companies to complement Government effort in the provision of public services such as health, education and transport if the country was to move its development agenda forward. The MVCL cleaning of the labour ward and the donation to the clinic was part of the 2016 women’s day commemoration activities. At the same ceremony, sister in charge of Ngombe Clinic Mrs Banda thanked the MVCL management for cleaning the labour ward and for the donation which she said was going to assist the clinic to provide quality medical services at the institution.
